Teaching Philosophy

Let's create a welcoming environment that encourages students to share their daily experiences openly. This space isn't about judgment or competition, but about supporting each other's creative growth. I look forward to starting this journey with mutual respect, fostering an atmosphere where everyone feels safe to share their perspectives. Our community is all about meaningful exploration—recognizing our own positions, getting accurate information, and building connections that deepen our bond with the materials. As artists, students will see their materials as partners in a reciprocal relationship that sparks creativity. Asking questions is a great way to grow, so I encourage curiosity and active engagement with their mediums. While students are expected to submit their assignments and participate in class presentations, there's also plenty of space for them to breathe, explore, and express themselves in their unique ways. Students are warmly encouraged to share their understanding of materials and what inspires them to create.   

Teaching kids and teaching a university crowd can feel different, but both are always enjoyable experiences.
